Let's celebrate European cinema in Malta

The European Film Festival of 2026 marks the 6th edition of the festival. This year, 10 members and partners are participating in the event: the Embassies of France, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain, as well as the Alliance Française, the Art Council Malta, the European Commission Representation in Malta and the Italian Cultural Institute.

The Fourth Wall - Le Quatrième Mur

The Alliance Française de Malte and the Embassy of France in Malta are presenting The Fourth WallLe Quatrième Mur.

Lebanon, 1982. Georges travels to Beirut to direct Antigone with actors from the various sides in the conflict. But as the war flares up again, his peace project is brutally confronted with reality.

A movie directed by David Oelhoffen, adapted from a novel by Sorj Chalandon, starring Laurent Laffitte, Manal Issa, Simon Abkarian, Bernard Bloch.
