Fête De La Musique
Celebrate the arrival of summer with music!
Relive the 2026 Fête de la Musique in Malta
Every year on 21 June, the Alliance Française de Malte–Méditerranée celebrates Fête de la Musique, the traditional French event that marks the start of summer with a series of free concerts.
The 2026 edition brought together several hundred music lovers at the Teatru Salesjan in Sliema for an evening of concerts, French cuisine and a warm, festive atmosphere.
Organised in partnership with the Embassy of France in Malta, the Teatru Salesjan and Sliema Local Council, this event formed part of the ‘Breaking Bread Project’ initiative and was supported by APS Bank.
An unforgettable evening of concerts
From jazz to Latin rhythms and Afro House, the audience was treated to an eclectic musical line-up performed by talented artists.
On stage

Sweet & Sour
A dynamic blend of Latin music, folk, candombe, Gypsy influences and Mexican sounds, combining vocals with a wide variety of instruments.

Maracujazz
A live Latin jazz project that blends Afro-Latin rhythms, improvisation and contemporary influences to create an energetic and captivating show.

Caña Soul
A unique Afro House project, blending electronic music with Colombian roots and percussion, for an immersive dance experience.
French flavours throughout the evening
Throughout the evening, to complement the concerts, visitors were also able to sample the flavours of France thanks to The
Sea Cloud,
a French bistro based in Malta, which offered a delicious selection of French produce.
A crêpe stall organised by the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée added to the festive atmosphere, allowing everyone to enjoy an evening steeped in French culinary traditions.
