Micro-Folie
Launched in 2017, the Micro-Folie project is a cultural framework of proximity brought by the French Ministry for Culture and coordinated by La Villette in connection with 12 other founding national institutions.
Immerse yourself in the wonders of some of France’s greatest museums at the Alliance Francaise.
What is a Micro-Folie?
It is an adaptable space that provides and gives access to 5000 artworks through the virtual museum. The Micro-Folie is a network of 647 Micro-Folies, including 51 internationals. The artwork of the virtual museum comes from the Micro-Folie national, regional and international network.

Virtual Museum
Our virtual museum offers a wide variety of cultural, recreational, and technological content accessible to all audiences. Through this museum, we offer a series of artworks belonging to various museums brought together to create an interactive space with the help of digital tablets.
Virtual Reality
We have 2 VR sets to enable you to visit a museum virtually, visit a painting while listening to its author or dive into the Atlantic Ocean to tour shipwrecks.
Les bulles de folie
Created by La Fondation Orange in collaboration with La Villette for the Micro-Folie project, “les bulles de folie” are flexible, fun and creative activities to adapt to the audience’s knowledge of Art History.

Our Micro-Folie events
We organise Art History conferences, in French, tackling various subjects such as “ The impressionist heritage in contemporary arts”, “ The art of assertion, the journey of LGBTQIA+ artists”, “The history of comics” and many more!
This year, to celebrate the European Night of Museums, we gave access to 3 collections of the Micro-Folie virtual museum to the public for a whole week. We can also organise Bulles de folie activities.
