Guided Tour - Refuge and reconstruction exhibition

-
Archbishop's Palace, Valletta
3 Places Remaining

 ------

« Refuge and Reconstruction » is a photo exhibit that sheds light on the journey of migrant people here in Malta.

Through his work, the photographer Martin Bertrand documents the ways through which the archipelago tackles migration in the Mediterranean. Little by little, the subject shifts towards what happens after arrival: waiting, lodging, isolation, but also the connections that get built, learning and initiatives enabling people to gradually rebuild their lives on the island.

The exhibition brings together photographs taken at various Maltese organisations and in the vicinity of the Ħal Far reception centres.

This guided tour will be led by the photojournalist Martin Bertrand.

Thursday 1st October 2026 at 6:30 pm at the Archbishop’s Palace in Valletta.

Limited spots.

This exhibition is presented by the Embassy of France in Malta and the Migrant Commission, in collaboration with MELA and the Archbishop’s Delegate for Culture.
