Photography workshop - Street photography, observer, composer, raconter
€14.00
Description:

This year marks the 200th anniversary of photography.
To celebrate this milestone, we are organising a series of cultural and pedagogical workshops and events.
This second workshop focuses on mastering the art of photography.
How to photograph everyday life in a different way?
Through this workshop led by Martin Bertrand, a documentary photographer and reporter, discover an approach to photography that blends artistic creation with a documentary perspective.
A silhouette in the light, a gesture, an interaction between passers-by or an everyday scene can all become the subject of a photograph. The aim of this workshop is to learn how to observe your surroundings, to play with light, shapes, colours and composition, whilst incorporating human presence and movement more fully into your images.
Following an introduction to the history and various approaches to street photography, we’ll set off to explore the streets of Valletta. A series of practical exercises will allow you to experiment with different ways of photographing, learn to anticipate a scene and gradually develop your own personal vision. We will also discuss the relationship with the people being photographed and the basics of storytelling and photographic series.
The workshop will conclude with a group discussion on the images produced, on everyone’s choices and the different ways of portraying everyday life through photography.
Join us for this pleasant and creative event!
